About Us
Terp Weekly Edition is a radio news magazine that is entirely reported and produced by students at the Philip Merrill College of Journalism at the University of Maryland. It tackles issues important to the College Park campus and the surrounding area.
It airs at 9:30 am on Sunday on the campus radio station, 88.1 WMUC-FM.
The show was started in the spring of 2004 by Merrill College of Journalism instructor Sue Kopen-Katcef.
It’s currently run by Rob Sachs, author of What Would Rob Do?: An Irreverent Guide to Surviving Life’s Daily Indignities.
Rob has spent the last 10 years as a producer, reporter and director for NPR shows, including Morning Edition, All Things Considered, and Tell Me More. He created the podcast What Would Rob Do? in 2006 and serves as its host.
